Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 has launched and some fans are already calling it one of the best COD games ever.

Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 was released earlier today (October 25), with many fans staying up past midnight to play the latest instalment in the iconic franchise. Some even tricked their console into thinking they were in New Zealand to access it sooner.

Apart from a few complaints about pre-order bonuses and PC performance, the initial reaction for Black Ops 6 seems to be overwhelmingly positive.

Black Ops 6 is some of the most fun I have had in a long, long time with any Call Of Duty. I honestly can’t remember the last time I had so much fun in a Call Of Duty game,” reads one Steam review. “Let me tell you something. I still don’t have a girlfriend and am severely depressed, but at least I’m above average at this game,” says another, with the game currently getting “mostly positive” reviews on the platform.

The return of rounds-based zombies has been met with praise across social media. “Oh. My. God. The new zombies is great. This is the version of zombies I’ve been wanting and waiting for to come back. We’re so fucking back boys,” reads one post on the dedicated subreddit, with other users sharing the same excitement. Players are also finding inventive ways to use the new Omnimovement system.

The single-player campaign has also been getting a lot of love, as have the additions of new weapons like a remote controlled throwing knife and a floating mine. “I believe that Black Ops 6 is the best modern era Call Of Duty campaign created thus far. With some of the best level design and gameplay Call Of Duty has ever produced, along with some great new characters added to the mix it’s hard not to like,” said one player.
