As BBC dance competition Strictly Come Dancing heats up, there is drama too with its spin-off show with the news it is to have an extra host, bringing behind-the-scenes gossip.

The hit dance series has announced that a new star will be joining the team. The news was revealed on its spin-off show It Takes Two which recently made a return to BBC2 following the launch of this year's Strictly competition on BBC One.

It Takes Two, which airs on weeknights and shares behind-the-scenes stories of the contest, shared the information on Friday that radio presenter Niall Gray will be joining the team, reports Manchester Evening News which added that he is 'really excited' about the prospect. The spin-off show, currently co-hosted by Janette Manrara and Fleur East, added that Gray - a national radio host on Capital FM and social media influencer with more than half-a-million TikTok followers; 24m likes and over 60,000 followers on Instagram - will take on the role of a roving reporter.

He will be bringing viewers an entertaining insight into what goes on backstage at Elstree Studios during Strictly. And he will get to visit the training rooms too throughout the series.

Strictly: It Takes Two can be seen at 6.30pm weekdays on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer. Meanwhile Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday and Sunday evenings on BBC One.
