Maya Jama transforms into iconic Halloween character Beetlejuice
by Amelia Wynne For Mailonline · Mail OnlineMaya Jama transformed into iconic Halloween character Beetlejuice as she celebrated the spooky day on Thursday.
The Love Island presenter, 30, is known for her knock-out Halloween looks and always hosts a huge star-studded party every year to mark the occasion.
Sharing her look on Instagram ahead of the bash she joked she was 'Beetlejuice's Unruly Niece' and shared her excitement for the event tonight which is sponsored by gin brand Gordon's.
She looked incredible in a skimpy striped blazer dress that showed off her toned legs and was teamed with knee-high socks and heels.
Maya had gone all the way with her look - dying her brunette tresses bright green to perfectly match the character.
Maya penned in the caption: 'Beetlejuice's Unruly Niece. Happy Halloweeeeen SO EXCITED FOR TONIGHT I COULD EXPLODE.'
Beetlejuice was originally released in 1988 starring Michael Keaton as the main character.
The comedy horror film directed by Tim Burton also featured Winona Ryder and was then remade in 2024 starring Michael and Winona again alongside Jenna Ortega.
Last year for Halloween Maya dressed as X-Men superhero Storm, mirroring Halle Berry's character from the Marvel Film Franchise.
The TV presenter put on a busty display in the faux leather one-piece, as she teased her cleavage in the slightly unzipped garment.
She was joined by a number of stars, including Paloma Faith, who sizzled as Jessica Rabbit, Jourdan Dunn as a vampire and Kaz Crossley.
This year Maya will be single for Halloween after her split from British rapper Stormzy earlier this year.
Stormzy and Maya confirmed their break-up was 'final' in a statement, after previously going their separate ways in 2019 and reconnecting in August last year.
The couple's statement read: 'We've been laughing whilst drafting this because we never, ever, in a million years thought we'd be the couple announcing a break-up.
'But for the sake of clarity and, more importantly, to allow us the space and grace that's needed for us both to be able to navigate this next bit of our lives with peace, we thought it might be best to.
'We fell madly in love in 2014, broke up in 2019, and then spent five years manoeuvring life apart.
'We decided to try for the final time in August 2023, and we've spent this past year trying our best to make it work; however, we recently decided to call it quits.
'We were 21 and 20 when we first met – both at the beginning of our careers – and spent five years growing together and five years growing separately, so this final attempt required a whole lot of figuring out, relearning, and unlearning. We tried, and it didn't work, and that's okay.'
