Singer looks unrecognisable in blood-spattered Carrie costume
by Charlotte Dean For Mailonline · Mail OnlineJade Thirlwall has shared a fun outtake from the music video for her new single Fantasy as she looked totally unrecognisable in a blood-spattered outfit.
The singer, 31, was completely soaked in fake blood in a scene that mirrored the iconic horror Carrie, as fans noted the similarity between the two.
The video shared to her Instagram page on Tuesday shows Jade at the end of the music video where she is covered in the red liquid.
The fake blood covered her dazzling gold dress and curly long brown hair, which were teamed with a pair of towering platform heels.
Jade captioned the clip: 'Girl of your nightmares.'
Commenting on how much she looked like horror character Carrie, her fans said: 'Carrie has competition now hun'; 'Sissy, Chloe, Jade. CARRIED'd!'; Carrie could never [nails painted emoji]'.

Jesy Nelson shares cryptic post about 'gross' people after Perrie Edwards speaks out on their shattered friendship
Last week Jade revealed new X-rated merch to celebrate her new song - leaving fans baffled and delighted in equal measure.
Jade, who has released her fourth single, shared a snap of some of the goodies on offer in her new merchandise collection which is launching on December 6.
While the usual T-shirts, hoodies and mugs are available, it was a raunchy bundle called the 'Jade X Fantasy Howl Box' that has raised eyebrows.
Available for pre-order at £75, the adult set includes four items: a sleeping eye mask, a thong that appears to be made from sweets, a butt plug on a keychain and a silicon-based lubricant.
Promoting the eclectic mix of merch, Jade - who used to be part of the X Factor girl group alongside Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jesy Nelson - tweeted: 'Whatever floats your boat I've got it for you babe'.
Her cheeky tweet has been seen more than 1.7million times and has elicited varying reactions.
'BUTTPLUGS???' one shocked fan replied, as another agreed: 'Not the butt plug.'
But other fans praised Jade and said: 'I AM CRYING JADE KNOWS HER AUDIENCE.'
Another commented: 'THIS is the merch all celebrities should be selling
A third jested: 'Well... fair enough. I do love a good mug.'
Jade is far from the first celebrity with a large LGBTQ+ following to release risqué merch.
Following her 2020 dance-pop album Chromatica, Lady Gaga released a hot-pink jockstrap while Cambridge-born singer Charli XCX previously sold a sex paddle alongside a branded douche. For her latest album Brat, she sold a key on a necklace.
Jade has defended her own X-rated choice of merch by calling it empowering.
She explained that her latest single Fantasy is 'about feeling safe enough with your partner to shamelessly explore your fantasies'.
The singer has been dating Rizzle Kicks' Jordan Stephens since 2020.
When asked about the X-rated merch, Jade told Vogue: 'I’m collaborating with a friend of mine, Samuel Douek, on a kind of "Fantasy" bundle package with some of his products and some of mine. It’s fun getting to do stuff like that.'
Douek is a filmmaker as well as the owner of CBD-based lubricant brand Howl - a product which features in Jade's collection.
She continued: 'Obviously, in Little Mix, there was kind of a ceiling on how far we could push things with our demographic and fan base.
'So I’m excited for my own stuff to have that same element of fun and empowerment, but in my own way as a 31-year-old woman.'
When buying the merch on Jade's website, an alert pops up asking the shopper: 'Are you over 18?'
As well as the X-rated bundle, fans can buy a series of coloured bandanas - which are typically used as a visual shorthand for the LGBTQ+ community to discreetly signal sexual preference.
You can also pre-order a black thong for £30 and a matching hoodie for £70.
Jade rose to fame as part of the girl group Little Mix - which was formed on the eighth series of the X-Factor in 2011.
Originally formed with four girls, Little Mix has amassed over 15 billion streams worldwide, making them one of the bestselling girl groups of all time with songs including Wings, Black Magic and Shout Out To My Ex.
Their music has been described as both feminist and gay anthems, earning them a huge following of LGBTQ+ fans and winning the British LGBT Award in 2019.
Little Mix sold more than 3million concert tickets worldwide and performed in more than 20 countries.
In 2020, Jesy Nelson left the girl group and two years later, the three remaining members - Jade, Perrie and Leigh-Anne - decided to take an indefinite hiatus to pursue solo projects.
