Speaking in an interview he recalled his time in the experiment and discussed how one disastrous date during their skiing honeymoon to Austria caused him 'agony.'

While other couples lived it up in Thailand and Tenerife Thomas and Roz found themselves battling blizzards on the slopes and go for a couple’s massage.

Thomas explained how their date was not included in the final edit  because he walked out mid-massage after the masseuse 'rubbed his hairy legs with no oil.'

He told The Sun: 'I think maybe the masseuse was under pressure not to use oil knowing there were cameras there and they wanted to put on a good show.'

The couple quickly became a fan favourite couple on the E4 show but struggled in the real world and with meeting each other's families.

Viewers were left heartbroken when, after the homestay, Roz realised she wanted to end the relationship, but they muddled on.

Thomas claimed producers convinced the couple to stay until the end despite both of them wanting to leave.

'I wanted to leave immediately after the homestays. I don’t know how but the producers convinced me to stay for the final commitment ceremony,' he said.

Following his split from Roz, Thomas has struggled to date as people 'don't like the whole social media side of things.'

'A lot of people don’t have respect for me because of the fact I’ve done a TV show. So dating feels like a bit of a minefield,' he added.

On the show, Roz began to have doubts about the relationship and wrote leave during the final commitment ceremony.

Although the dating experts asked her to reconsider her decision, she held firm and dumped Thomas.

Roz admitted the reason for the split was because Thomas' mother asked her when they were going to have babies - making her realise did want to have children, but not with Thomas.
