Jennifer Lopez 'planning comeback in 2025 to get revenge on Ben'

Jennifer Lopez is planning a career major comeback in 2025 after Ben Affleck broke her heart in 2024.

'She wants next year to be her best year ever to show the world her crummy love life did not get her down. She will rise,' said a friend to DailyMail.com.

The 55-year-old star will be making two big moves in the new year that have to do with raising her profile, a source said.

The Bronx-born beauty will be campaigning for an Oscar for Best Supporting actress for her role as a hard-working mother in the film Unstoppable.

In a sweet twist, Affleck is one of the producers on the film along with his pal Matt Damon. The source added that Ben and Matt will be supporting her as she tries to seduce the Academy.

And Lopez will also be taking her Greatest Hits tour on the road in the summer of 2025 after canceling it this year amid her Affleck split.

Though Jennifer had a terrific 2024 with her career - Atlas was a major success - she was put in a negative light after ending her marriage to Ben.

The two split in April and she filed for divorce on August 20, which was their two year wedding anniversary.

She was portrayed as the one with the problem after so many marriages went bust: her husbands have included Ojani Noa, Cris Judd, Marc Anthony and Ben. She was also engaged to Alex Rodriguez.

Sources tell DailyMail.com that Jennifer wants to shine in 2025.

'She wants an Oscar for Unstoppable,' a source told DailyMail.com. 

'She is sensational in it, I saw the movie and wow, she nails it. I think a lot of people have discounted her acting skills because she is such a glamazon but this film is a wake up call, like, hey guys, she can really act her pants off.'

And Lopez is very focused on getting an Oscar this time around because she was upset she did not get it for Hustlers, which she has been very vocal about.

'Jen wanted the Oscar for Hustlers and felt she deserved it, and she pretty much did but there is prejudice against her,' said the source.

'There is a hope that she will get the gold for Unstoppable.

'It helps that she is now seen as the victim in the Affleck split. I think voters may want to give her the award now, they feel she has been through a lot.'

Then there is the new tour.

'When Jen canceled her tour earlier this year, it was with the intention of doing it in 2025, so that has been on the books for a while.

'It will definitely be a greatest hits tour with all the razzle dazzle. She will slip into all those sexy outfits and look fantastic.'

And there may be some A-listers popping up on certain nights. 

'She is smartly bringing in some big names to the stage to light it up. They are working now on getting some hot singers to drop by,' said the insider.

Also on the schedule for 2025 is her film Kiss Of The Spider Woman. It is a musical that she stars in and helped produce with Affleck.

Kiss of the Spider Woman is an adaptation of the 1993 Broadway musical by John Kander, Fred Ebb and Terrence McNally, which in turn was based on the 1976 novel by Manuel Puig. 

The story was previously adapted for a 1985 film starring William Hurt, Raul Julia and Sônia Braga.

Variety confirmed Lopez's casting back in December 2023. The movie was filmed from April until June this year in New Jersey.

Jennifer plays Aurora, a fantasy woman conjured up by Luis Molina, a gay hairdresser imprisoned in Argentina circa 1981 along with Valentin Arregui Paz, a Marxist. 

Molina dreams of Aurora in classic movies, including her role as a spider woman.

There are also her bustling side businesses like Delola and JLo Beauty. 'She will have a new product coming out for JLo Beauty, she is excited about it. She loves working on her brands,' said the insider.
