Kate Beckinsale posts photos of series of gruesome injuries

Kate Beckinsale has shared a look at her injuries after working on Canary Black and performing her own stunts after worried fans shared their concern.

The actress, who plays Avery Graves in the action film, posted photos of her bruised elbows, grazed knees and busted fingers after putting her all into the role.

Kate, 51, shared an article which suggested she used a stunt double for her role, apart from the 'close-up' shots, which were clearly her.

However, appearing to dismiss claims that she didn't perform her own stunts, Kate shared a look at a selection of the painful injuries she had.

Kate posted close up shots of her bruises, inflamed-looking fingers and a snap of some sore looking marks on her torso.

Kate, who has spoken candidly about her health battles over the years, did not share any further context to how she got the bruises and scrapes.

Kate Beckinsale fires back at claims she is 'too thin' amid recent health scare: 'I am trying to survive'

In the comments section of an unrelated post on her main grid, one worried fan asked: 'Why are you all bruised up.'

Earlier this year, Kate fired back at claims she is 'too thin' following a health scare in the comments of her latest Instagram video.

Kate stood up for herself as fans questioned her health, with one writing, 'Sorry to say this Kate, but you do look a bit thin. You always striked a great balance … But when your cheekbones start to show, the balance is lost.'

Another top comment wrote, 'Please eat something. I love you, I'm very worried with your skinny look.'

Fans were worried for Kate because she had previously posted photos of herself in the hospital looking frail.  

'Kate! I think you've lost too much weight! You look amazing as usual but, put some weight on please!' another write.

One top comment added, 'Striking a pose... and havin fun. You are super thin...losing weight?'

'What happened to you? You used to be gorgeous,' one said, causing the starlet to fire back:

'I have been really sad. I watched my second dad die. It made me sick. Sorry you find me less attractive. Couldn't give a fu**.'

The Underworld star Beckinsale continued to clapback writing, 'I nursed my [stepdad] to his death early this year. 

'My mum also has stuff going on. I am adjusting to watching two fathers die, one when I was 5, one in January of this year,' she added.

Earlier this year she lost her stepfather Roy Battersby after a brief illness.

Beckinsale was also the one to find her biological father Richard’s body after he died from a heart attack when she was young.

'I lost my soulmate cat of almost 19 years, also last year. I spent six weeks in hospital due to copiously vomiting blood from a [Mallory-Weiss tear] caused by the stress of a whole year ripping a hole between my [esophagus] and stomach,' she shared.

She also added that she 'experienced a severe flare of [her] mast cell disease,' which is 'mitigated by stress, shock and grief.'

The starlet continued to defend herself, 'That's what I am prepared to disclose that has contributed to some weight loss.

'What you think of my appearance and how I should look, independently of any circumstances in my life and my family's is not important.

'I am trying to survive what feel like unbearable losses, reactivated PTSD from discovering my very young father's almost dead body as a very young child alone in the night, and working to support the family I have left,' she said.

The Van Helsing actress called out a specific fan that felt they had 'to bully females about their appearance.'

'The fact you fancy girls who are heavier than I am does not feature in things that are important or relevant,

'I don't care what your taste in women is. I care that you think any of us need to be apprised of it … Do better,' she said.

Kate then fired back at another commenter who urged her to gain weight, who said, 'Please eat something. I love you, I'm very worried with your skinny look.

'Enough,' she replied.

Some fans defended Kate saying, '@ Everyone!!! You need to stop commenting on people's weight , appearance, and life choices for God sake. Just because celebrities have over 500 followers doesn't give you the green light to provide unnecessary commentary!!'

Another related with her losses and chimed in, 'I know what heartbreak feels like having lot of very close family members including 2 brothers. I'm glad you're feeling a little better and having fun. Enjoy the good days because the hard ones can drown you.'

One comment wrote, 'She is ALLOWED to cry. Allowed to not eat or binge out. And honestly I APPLAUD this courageous woman for getting out of bed, working, laughing, dancing, and pushing herself to do so.'
