The full statement from EA is below.

EA Sports stands in solidarity with the Ukrainian people and like so many voices across the world of football, calls for peace and an end to the invasion of Ukraine. In line with our partners at FIFA and UEFA, EA Sports has initiated processes to remove the Russian national team and all Russian clubs from EA Sports FIFA products including: FIFA 22, FIFA Mobile, and FIFA Online. We’re also actively evaluating related changes to other areas of our games. This is not the first response from the games industry in light of Russian invasion of Ukraine. 11 Bit Studios announced that profits from This War of Mine would be donated to the Ukrainian Red Cross.  Since that start of that campaign the studio has confirmed over $715,000 have been raised to help the Ukrainian people. Earlier today, the Ukrainian government sent a message to both Sony and Microsoft to block Russian and Belorussian  players from online accounts, as well as banning any representatives from those nations from competing in any gaming events across the world as well as cancelling any events taking place in either Russia or Belarus. Both companies are yet to reply to the request made by Ukraine.

UPDATE: Russian teams will also be removed from NHL 22.
