National Savings and Investments, which runs Premium Bonds, and is backed by the Treasury, says the first big winner for this month is from Warwickshire, who held £50,000 in Premium Bonds.

The winner bought their winning bond 54 years ago in February 1970, showing that good things often do come to those who wait.

November's jackpot winners are from Warwickshire and Cornwall, NS&I confirmed today.

The two jackpot prizes went out this month to a saver from Warwickshire, with winning Bond number 286CJ469715, and a saver from Cornwall, with winning Bond number 567MN061686.
