Kim Kardashian Declared Legally Single in Divorce with Kanye West

by · VLADTV

Kim Kardashian filed a divorce from Kanye West in February of last year. In response, the contentious rapper made several public pleas for reconciliation, a flurry of verbal attacks on her new boyfriend, and a series of name changes on the legal documents. Despite the contrary, Kim Kardashian's request to end her marriage has finally been granted following a virtual court hearing on Wednesday.

Although Kanye West was not present for the divorce hearing, his lawyer made it clear that her client would not object to Kim Kardashian's request as long as she agreed to adhere to three stipulations: any right to get reimbursed for money that was supposed to be divided up will be preserved in case either of them dies, Kim would have to agree not to transfer any assets that she had in trust, and if Kim ever remarries she would have to waive the "marital privilege."

The judge agreed to the first condition but declined the final two. Nonetheless, both sides reached an adequate agreement and the judge nullified their marriage after six years of matrimony and four children together.
