The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the ODI and T20I squad for their respective series in Australia and Zimbabwe.

Babar Azam, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Naseem Shah return to Pakistan team for white-ball series in Australia.

Mohammad Rizwan has been appointed as the new captain of the Pakistan team in the white-ball format. Rizwan's first assignment as captain will be leading Australia in a three-match ODI series, followed by a T20I series.

Mohammad Rizwan is expected to become the new Pakistan white-ball captain, taking over from Babar Azam.

'Uncapped players in the ODI squad include Aamir Jamal, Arafat Minhas, Faisal Akram, Haseebullah, Muhammad Irfan Khan, and Saim Ayub. Jahandad Khan and Salman Ali Agha join the T20I squad for the first time,' the PCB statement said.

Agha Salman will take charge as vice-captain for both formats.

Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Mohsin Naqvi said that no one from the board forced Babar Azam to relinquish the capataincy of the Pakistan side. Speaking at the press conference on Sunday, October 27, Naqvi unvieled Mohammad Rizwan as the captain of the white-ball team.
