According to the notification, the decision is aimed at making train ticket bookings more convenient and accessible for passengers.

The Railway Ministry made the announcement in a notification that said that the advance Railway reservation time reduced has been reduced from 120 days to 60 days.

All bookings done up to October 31 under the Advance Reservation Period of 120 days will remain intact, it added.
