Punjab Assembly bypolls: Four assembly seats are vacant in Punjab currently and byelections for these seats will be held on November 13. The results will be declared on November 23.

Jamtara Assembly Election 2024: In 2019 Irfan Ansari from Congress, won the Jamtara seat by defeating Birendra Mandal from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Ansari secured 1,12,829 votes, while Mandal received 74,088 votes.

With this, the Shiv Sena has become the second major political party to release its list of candidates for the state assembly polls. Its ally BJP released a list of 99 candidates on Sunday.

Hazaribagh Assembly Election 2024: In the 2019 elections, Manish Jaiswal, representing the BJP, won the Hazaribagh seat by defeating Ramchandra Prasad from the Congress. Jaiswal secured 1,06,208 votes, while Prasad received 54,396 votes.

Chatra Assembly Election 2024: In the 2019 elections, Satyanand Bhogta, representing the RJD, won the Chatra seat by defeating Janardan Paswan from the BJP. Bhogta secured 1,01,710 votes, while Paswan received 77,655 votes.

Baghmara Assembly Election 2024: In the 2019 elections, Dulu Mahato, representing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), won the Baghmara seat by defeating Jaleshwar Mahato from the Congress. Dulu secured 78,291 votes, while Jaleshwar received 77,467 votes.

Bokaro Assembly Election 2024: In the 2019 elections, BJP candidate Biranchi Narayan defeated Congress candidate Shweta Singh with a thin margin of 13,313 votes (4.96%).
