Coronation Street star Melissa Johns has tied the knot with long-term partner Dan Hampton in a beautiful ceremony surrounded by family and friends.

The actress, who played Imogen Pascoe in the ITV soap until 2019, shared clips and pictures from her big day on social media for her followers to enjoy.

She was joined at the special event by fellow Corrie alumni Bhavna Limbachia, who played Rana Habeeb until 2019.

The pair worked together during their time on the show, with Melissa playing Kate Connor’s (Faye Brookes) girlfriend. Kate would later go on to get engaged to Rana, before disaster struck on their wedding day as Rana was killed off.

In an emotional statement on Instagram, Melissa wrote: ‘Good morning world. We’re still in a bit of a bubble. It’s really quite lovely in here. Think we’ll stay a little longer… And hopefully soon we will have the words to describe exactly what October 11th meant to us. Our hearts are the fullest they’ve ever been.’

The statement came alongside some stunning photos showing off the star’s strapless dress and gorgeous Herefordshire venue.

A number of famous friends were quick to offer their congratulations in the comments, with Bhavna herself saying: ‘Huge congratulations! What a beautiful day.’
