Man fatally stabbed in Seattle’s Rainier Valley

A man was fatally stabbed in the Rainier Valley neighborhood Wednesday night, according to Seattle police.

Shortly after 7:30 p.m., officers responded to reports of an assault in an apartment building in the 3600 block of 33rd Avenue South, the Seattle Police Department said in an online blotter post.

Officers found a man in his 50s with a stab wound to the chest. Police provided aid until Seattle Fire Department medics arrived. Despite lifesaving efforts, the man died.

Police said it was not clear what led to the stabbing and they have not identified any suspects.
