Man killed in West Seattle after crashing into a parked SUV

A man died in a collision in West Seattle on Wednesday night, according to Seattle police.

Shortly before 10 p.m., officers responded to reports that a Volvo had crashed into a parked Ford SUV in the 6300 block of 48th Avenue Southwest, the Seattle Police Department said in an online blotter post.

Police and Seattle Fire Department medics found a 31-year-old man unresponsive inside the car. Responders extracted the man from the car and provided aid, but the man died.

Police are trying to determine the circumstances of the collision.
