A 33-year-old woman was arrested Tuesday night for investigation of homicide after patrol officers responded to a call about property damage and discovered a man dead inside a Rainier Valley home, Seattle police say.

Officers went to the 9200 block of Spear Place South around 8 p.m. to investigate reports of someone breaking glass at a nearby residence and encountered the woman responsible for the damage, according to an online blotter post.

The Seattle Fire Department was called to the scene and took the woman to Harborview Medical Center for an evaluation but the post doesn’t say whether she had been hurt.

Meanwhile, officers went inside the home and found a deceased 67-year-old man “with clear signs of trauma,” according to the blotter.

Police arrested the woman when she arrived at Harborview and she fought with officers, assaulting one of them, the post says. The woman and officer were evaluated and released from the hospital.

The woman was booked into the King County Jail a little after 7 a.m. Wednesday, jail records show. She is expected to make her first court appearance Thursday.

Police are investigating the circumstances leading to the man’s death.
