UW men’s basketball adds home game with Seattle Pacific

The Washington men’s basketball team added a nonconference game with Seattle Pacific to its schedule for the 2024-25 season, the school announced Friday.

The game will be played at 7 p.m. on Nov. 13 at Alaska Airlines Arena.

The Huskies open their season on Tuesday, Nov. 5, with a home game against UC Davis. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. and the game will air on the Big Ten Network.

GOLF

• Seattle U’s Ben Ragland shot a 3-under 105 to sit in a tie for 11th place after the first 27 holes of the Monterrey Collegiate Classic in Monterrey, Mexico.

HOCKEY

• The visiting Seattle Thunderbirds (5-8-1-0) allowed three first-period goals, scored three second-period goals to tie the game, but fell 4-3 on a goal from Prince Albert’s Cole Peardon in the third period.

Carter Bear had a had trick and Dominik Rymon scored twice as the first-place Everett Silvertips (10-2-0-0) routed the visiting Edmonton Oil Kings 7-2.

volleyball

Madi Endsley had 19 kills and Emoni Bush added 10 kills and four blocks to help Washington (15-4, 5-4 Big Ten) to a 25-16, 18-25, 25-17, 25-18 win over visiting Rutgers. Molly Wilson had 23 assists and seven digs for UW.

soccer

Egor Akulov and Chris Peretti scored to lift the host Washington men to a 2-0 shutout over Rutgers. The Huskies outshot Rutgers 22-4 and Jadon Bowton posted the clean sheet in goal.
