Men arrested after assault in Arboretum Park as police launch appeal

Two men have been arrested after an assault in Arboretum Park, Normanton. The assault left one man hospitalized after sustaining injuries to his head and face, according to police.

The incident took place between 3.30pm and 4pm on Saturday October 19, which saw the victim in his 30s assaulted by two other men one in his 20s and the other in his 40s. The injuries the victim sustained are thought to be serious, yet not life threatening.

Two men have been arrested in relation to the incident, with both the man in his 20s and the man in his 40s remaining in police custody.

Derbyshire police detectives who are investigating the incident understand that a number of people were in the area and witnessed the incident. Therefore they are appealing for those who were present at the time to come forward with information.
