Aldi is on the hunt for 60 new employees across Derbyshire as it gears up for the Christmas crowds. The discount supermarket giant is advertising roles for store assistants, managerial roles, and cleaning roles to restock items, serve customers, and ensure top-notch service during the holiday season and afterwards.

Aldi boasts its store assistant starting salary as the industry's best at £12.40 an hour nationally and £13.65 within the M25 zone. It remains the only supermarket in the UK to offer paid breaks, translating to over £900 annually for the average employee.

Reflecting on the recruitment drive, Aldi UK's recruitment director, Kelly Stokes, said: "Our mission is to make affordable, high-quality food accessible to everyone, and that is even more important at this time of year." She added, "Our colleagues are essential to ensuring Aldi shoppers have a great experience in store, and we're once again closing our stores on Boxing Day to give them a well-deserved break as a thank you for their dedication."
