This 33 Year Old is One of the Most Wanted Fugitives in Texas
· NewsTalk 1290A 33-year-old Texas man is on the run and authorities believe he may be in the Wichita area.
Memphis, Texas Police Chief, Rex Plant and another officer attempted to arrest 33-year-old Seth Michael Altman on October 3rd. Things took a violent and nearly fatal turn as the officers tried to arrest Altman for his connection to a burglary case. However, Altman surprisingly pulled out a gun and shot at the officers. Plant was hit twice with bullets as Altman evaded arrest.
The police Chief was quickly flown to a Lubbock hospital and stabilized. Altman remains at large and now police are asking the public for help.
"Seth may be in the Wichita Metro Area," Crime Stoppers said Monday on Facebook.
In addition to the manhunt, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott announced there would be a $10,000 reward through Texas Crime Stoppers, for anyone with pertinent information leading to the arrest and capture of Altman.
Altman is described as a 6'4 male weighing approximately 220 pounds and wearing glasses.
Police are asking anyone with information to call the Texas Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477). If you spot a fugitive call 911, remember they are considered Armed and Dangerous! Never try to apprehend a fugitive yourself.
