With less than a week before the crucial US Presidential elections on 5th November, Republican Candidate and Former President Donald Trump has ‘strongly’ condemned the rampant attacks on Hindus around the world including Bangladesh and the US.

Notably, taking to X, Donald Trump condemned the ongoing Bangladeshi Hindu Genocide and extended his wishes for Diwali to Hindus across the globe.

He wrote,  “I strongly condemn the barbaric violence against Hindus, Christians, and other minorities who are getting attacked and looted by mobs in Bangladesh, which remains in a total state of chaos. It would have never happened on my watch.”

Slamming his Democratic rival Kamala Harris and incumbent US President Joe Biden, Trump added, “Kamala and Joe have ignored Hindus across the world and in America. They have been a disaster from Israel to Ukraine to our own Southern Border, but we will Make America Strong Again and bring back Peace through Strength!”

In a strongly worded pro-Hindu post, the Republican leader assured, “We will also protect Hindu Americans against the anti-religion agenda of the radical left. We will fight for your freedom. Under my administration, we will also strengthen our great partnership with India and my good friend, Prime Minister Modi.”

“Kamala Harris will destroy your small businesses with more regulations and higher taxes. By contrast, I cut taxes, cut regulations, unleashed American energy, and built the greatest economy in history. We will do it again, bigger and better than ever before—and we will Make America Great Again. Also, Happy Diwali to All. I hope the Festival of Lights leads to the Victory of Good over Evil!,” he concluded.

Notably, India has been drawing the attention of the global community to the rise of Hindumisia/Hinduphobia and rampant attacks on non-Abrahamic faiths. Hindus have been coming under consistent attacks in the Western world and now especially in the USA.

However, the response to the hate crimes from the authorities in the USA has been largely timid. Few leaders post condemnation messages on social media and the news is swept under the carpet. The USA which preaches tolerance and equality to the whole world fails to protect one of the most accepting minority communities.

Western mouthpieces and media largely ignore the rapidly rising hate crimes against Hindus in the West, instead writing long sermons to India and other nations on how to treat minorities. The hypocrisy is so ingrained that it does not even come to their notice. The recent anti-Hindu violence in Bangladesh is another example where the West hardly bothered with the plight of the Hindus and US President Biden was shown all smiles and arm-in-arm with Muhammad Yunus, who is silently allowing hate crimes against the Hindu minority in his own country. The protests against him quite clearly fell on deaf ears.

Now, in one of the biggest outreach to Hindu Americans, ahead of a highly polarised election, Trump has drawn much-needed attention to the plight of the Bangladeshi Hindus and the rise of Hinduphobia around the World. With his latest ‘Truth’ bomb, Trump becomes the only US leader after Indian American Vivek Ramaswamy to speak against the persecution of Hindus and other religious minorities in Bangladesh.
