Joker: Folie à Deux hit theatres in early October, and a week later another clown movie, Terrifier 3, arrived in cinemas.
The new film in the Terrifier series yet again follows the bloodthirsty Art the Clown on another murdering and torturing rampage, only this time, it’s festive! The first screenings of the horror allegedly caused some viewers to walk out, and even throw up – giving you a good idea of what to expect.
After the success of the previous films in the franchise, the new instalment is expected to be an absolute Halloween smash.

How to watch Terrifier 3 now
Currently, the horror is available in cinemas.
In the US, you can book tickets on AMC Theatres and Fandango websites. In the UK, you can get them at Vue, Cineworld, and Odeon.

When will Terrifier 3 be released on VOD?
So far, Cineverse, the film’s distributor, hasn’t announced any release date for Terrifier 3 on digital platforms.
Slashers from the Terrifier series are independent films, so unlike Hollywood blockbusters, their path to home media is quite difficult to predict.
However, we estimate that Terrifier 3 will hit digital platforms quite soon after its theatrical release. The previous film in the series appears on VOD platforms just 36 days after its debut in theatres. Based on that, Terrifier 3 may be available for rental or purchase as early as mid-November 2024.
Of course, these are just speculations, and we must wait for Cineverse to confirm this date.
When could Terrifier 3 be released on streaming services?
The second film about the murderous clown appeared on the ScreamBox streaming service 25 days after its theatrical release. However, it’s unlikely that Cineverse will follow that path in the case of Terrifier 3. The film is generating quite a buzz, and its creators will probably want to attract as many viewers as possible to cinemas.
However, there is a chance that we won’t have to wait long for Terrifier 3 to debut on streaming. An excellent opportunity to launch the film on ScreamBox will be Thanksgiving – given the “holiday” theme of the slasher, it could arrive on the platform around 28 November 2024, or closer to Christmas itself.
This date is just our prediction and hasn’t been confirmed by the film’s distributor.
When will Terrifier 3 be released on DVD/Blu-ray?
As with the release dates on VOD and streaming, we can rely on our guesses here, too. Certainly, a good occasion for releasing physical copies of Terrifier 3 will be Christmas – in that case, the film could appear on store shelves around 25 December 2024.
It’s pretty likely because Terrifier 2 on DVD and Blu-ray was released on 27 December 2022.
On the other hand, if the film succeeds at the box office – and all signs point to it – Cineverse may postpone the sale of physical copies. In that scenario, the DVD and Blu-ray editions of Terrifier 3 might not be available until 2025.
