Woman injured as buses collide in Dudley

A woman was injured after buses crashed in Dudley. Pictures from the scene showed a single decker bus had collided with the back of a double decker.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said crews found two buses had been involved in a collision on Wolverhampton Street, near Parsons Street, at around 4.20pm, yesterday, Tuesday, November 5.

The service said a woman was assessed by ambulance staff, but did not want to go to hospital. She was given self-car advice and discharged at the scene.

An ambulance service spokeswoman told BirminghamLive: "We were called to reports of a collision on Wolverhampton Street in Dudley at around 4.20pm. An ambulance was sent to the scene where, on arrival, crews discovered two buses had been involved in a collision. One patient, a woman, was assessed by ambulance staff but did not wish to go to hospital and so was given self-care advice and discharged at the scene."

NX West Midlands posted on X last night: "Service disruption due to an incident at Parsons Street # Dudley. 6 To Dudley only will be using: Vicar Street, King Street, Trindle Straat and Castle Hill."
