Birmingham teen stabbed in car 'by group of men' as police issue message over 'very nasty attack'

A teenager has been rushed to hospital after he was stabbed while sitting in his car in Birmingham. The male teenager, 18, was knifed while he was in his vehicle in the Hockley area of the city.

West Midlands Police said he was stabbed by a "group of men" on Tuesday evening, October 29. There have been no arrests yet, with officers saying they are in the "early stages" of their investigation.

The force described it as a "very nasty attack" and said they are determined to find those responsible. There will be extra patrols in the area to reassure the community.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "We are appealing for information after a man was stabbed by a group of men while he was sitting in his car in Birmingham.

"The incident took place shortly after 8pm on Tuesday (29 Oct), on Ford Street, Hockley. The 18-year-old was taken to hospital with injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.

"We are in the early stages of our investigation and would appeal for anyone with any information including mobile phone or dashcam footage to please contact us. This was a very nasty attack and we are very keen to find the people responsible.
