Aldi shoppers have expressed their excitement over the budget store's version of Cadbury's Dairy Milk Pots of Joy. Dairyfine Pots of Choc are described as a "smooth and creamy dessert".

A picture of the dessert was posted on Facebook with a woman saying that the item will set you back just over £1. It comes in a large sharing pot.

One user said: "OMGGGG, YESSSS". Another suggested to a friend: "These will be nice when we go shopping, some strawberries dipped".

A third said: "Should've looked for this today". One person did not seem so sure, writing: "Rather pay the 1.50 they are most of time then them cheap things won’t taste good compared to the Dairy Milk".

Aldi also offer other desserts which are similar to Cadbury favourites, The Sun reports. Four-packs of the Dairyfine Milk Chocolate Split Pot Desserts with chocolate buttons are on sale for £2.59 in Aldi - working out at £1.13 per 100g.

Cadbury's version of the same dessert is on sale in Tesco and Sainsbury's for £1.15 for a single portion - working out at £1.53 per 100g. Pots of Joy four-packs are on sale for £2.70 in Tesco and £1.70 in Sainsbury's.
