Girl, 12, rushed to hospital after being struck by car near Stourbridge as police appeal

Detectives have appealed for information after a 12-year-old girl was struck by a car near Stourbridge. Police said the youngster was hit by a Ford Fiesta on Vicarage Road in Wollaston at around 8.15am on Wednesday, September 11.

She was rushed to hospital with serious leg injuries. The driver involved in the crash stopped at the scene and was helping police enquiries.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "We're appealing for information after a girl was seriously injured following a collision in Wollaston last month. At around 8.15am, on September 11, a 12-year-old girl was hit by a black Ford Fiesta on Vicarage Road at its junction with High Street.

"She was taken to hospital with serious leg injuries. As part of our investigation we are reviewing CCTV footage but we also need your help.

"The driver stayed at the scene to help with our enquiries but we want to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision.
