Liam Payne's heartbroken girlfriend Kate breaks silence and says 'for the rest of my life'

Liam Payne's heartbroken partner has opened up for the first time since the singer's tragic passing. Kate Cassidy, 25, expressed her profound grief after heading back from Argentina merely two days before his untimely death.

In a statement, she shared: "Nothing about the past few days have felt real. I ask and pray that you'll give me the grace and space to navigate this in private.

"Liam, my angel. You are everything. I want you to know I loved you unconditionally and completely. I will continue to love you for the rest of my life. I love you Liam."

The former One Direction member, Liam, aged 31, suffered multiple injuries leading to his death after a fall from a third-storey hotel balcony in Buenos Aires on Wednesday afternoon. Kate, who was vacationing with him in South America, had flown back to the US just two days before the incident.

Having been a couple for two years, they had just moved into their new home in Florida. Liam and Kate were first connected back in October 2022, appearing together for the first time on the red carpet shortly thereafter.

Liam's romance with Kate emerged post his split from fiancee and model Maya Henry. Simon Cowell earlier released a statement following Liam's tragic death.

He said: "You never really know how you feel about someone until a moment like this happens.

" Liam I am devastated. Heartbroken. And I feel empty. And I want you to know how much love and respect I have for you. Every tear I have shed is a memory of you." He added: ""This is so difficult to put into words right now."
