Married At First Sight UK star Sionainn Carmichael has opened up about her health struggles during filming, explaining why she appeared "shaky" in recent episodes. The reality TV star made a big impression when she first appeared on the E4 show, with cold feet nearly stopping her from marrying Ryan Livesey.

But after a slow start, they quickly bonded over their shared experience with cancer after Ryan opened up that he had previously been diagnosed at their wedding dinner. They seemed to be going strong until an argument over shoelaces saw the pair head home.

During a Q&A with fans, Sionainn addressed viewers concern that she was 'jittery' in some scenes. She revealed that she had a medical condition and was battling a chest infection during filming.

"I’m a shaky gal anyway but I had a horrible chest infection and was on my second course of steroids in a month after the honeymoon, so I was literally rattling," she told fans.

Sionainn shared with Married At First Sight co-stars Emma Barnes and Lacey Martin why she had left the show. She recalled: "He just spoke to me really, really poorly. And I said, 'Ryan don't speak to me like that. You're not going to speak to me like shit'," and "And it just flipped.

"He decided to tell me that none of his feelings had ever been real. He'd been faking it all. It was all a holiday romance for him."

Following these allegations, Ryan Livesey released a statement insisting that he had "real feelings" for Sionainn. He said: "I was beginning to develop genuine feelings, and hearing Sionainn say she felt 'safe and comfortable' with me meant a lot. This is something I take great pride in, not just as a man but also as a father."
