Amy Dowden has issued a playful warning to her Strictly Come Dancing partner JB Gill as they kick-started a new week of training. The duo sailed through to the fourth week of the BBC One dance contest after impressing during the show's annual Movie Week.

Saturday (October 5) was a significant night for the BBC One dance contest, marking the first themed show of the series. The couples channelled their inner film stars, performing routines inspired by a variety of blockbuster films.

Tasha Ghouri and Aljaz Skorjanec brought Barbie and Ken to life, while Sarah Hadland paid tribute to the late Dame Maggie Smith with her portrayal of Harry Potter's Professor Minerva McGonagall.

During the show, viewers watched JLS star JB and Welsh dancer Amy perform the American Smooth to the song Pure Imagination from last year's Wonka movie, earning an impressive 32 out of a possible 40 points.

The results show confirmed that JB and Amy would be returning for another week of competition. On Monday (October 7), they shared their first update from training, reports the Manchester Evening News.

In a video posted on JB's Instagram Story, the singer and presenter announced: "We're back! " Amy then added: "We've done some hard work. We can't tell you the dance yet but we've done some hard work this morning and just done our interviews with the lovely VT team and then we're going straight back to it."

During a recent catch-up, Amy and JB reflected on their journey so far in the competition. Amy began with, "We wanted to actually come on and say what? " prompting JB to express their gratitude: "Thank you sooo much. We honestly had so much fun. We're so grateful for you guys for voting for us, sending us through to this week. Week four... we're doing a very, very nice dance this week.."

However, Amy was quick to point out the upcoming challenge: "But it's going to be the most challenging dance yet for you," which JB acknowledged: "It will be tough but it's all good. We like challenges."

Amy then mentioned that Monday isn't JB's 'most favourite' day, leading him to explain his weekly routine: "I'm still trying to learn the dance, then Tuesday we go in on technique and by Wednesday I'm like, 'This actually feels quite good!'"
