Dr Michael Mosley will be back on our screens tonight four months after his tragic death. The beloved TV doctor tragically lost his life while on holiday with his wife Claire on the small Greek island of Symi.

He had left a beach in the area for a walk and took the wrong route on Wednesday, June 5. His body was found four days later in a rocky area of the island after a huge search and rescue operation was launched.

Chillingly, in the Channel 5 TV series Michael Mosley: Wonders of the Human Body which aired after his death in August, the doctor made a tragic prediction about his own demise. Touching upon the topic of heart attacks, Dr Mosley recounted his own father's death, vowing not to follow in his footsteps.

He disclosed to viewers serious warnings from doctors about a potentially fatal arterial plaque build-up, a precursor to heart attacks. Dr Mosley informed the audience: "I just had a new test that can predict your heart attack risk before it happens."

On investigating whether the damage could be reversed, tests signified that his arteries were not inflamed, which suggested a minimal heart attack risk. Dr Mosley expressed: "So another way of looking at this is saying I have a 94 per cent chance of making it to 74, which means I have a 94 per cent chance of beating my dad."

Acknowledging feelings of relief, he also recognised his apprehensions concerning the test outcome. Dr Mosley shared: "That was stressful and at least reassuring in at least I know now that it's unlikely that I will go the same way as my dad."

A preliminary assessment by a coroner dismissed any suspicion of foul play and concluded the TV star had died of 'natural causes'. An inquest into his death is set to take place in Buckinghamshire in November.

His wife Dr Bailey Mosley previously shared her heartbreak, saying: "I don't know quite where to begin with this. It's devastating to have lost Michael, my wonderful, funny, kind and brilliant husband. We had an incredibly lucky life together. We loved each other very much and were so happy together."
