The Great British Bake Off host is said to be very happy with Russian masseuse David Putnam since first hiding their relationship for almost two years

Alison Hammond has been loved up with boyfriend David Putnam for quite some time after first hiding their relationship for almost two years. The pair met when she employed his services as a masseuse.

And they are said to be very happy together despite claims his mother is unhappy with the age-gap relationship. The Brummie Queen of TV, who hosts This Morning and The Great British Bake Off, is 49 while David is 27.

It has been reported that David also works as a model and dancer. He is Russian and reportedly studied as a body therapist offering, “classic, lymphatic drainage, anti-cellulite, wraps, facial massage”.

Alison and David's relationship was actually first revealed by her This Morning co-host Dermot O'Leary in a slip-up on air. But what exactly has Alison said about her new man since going public with the relationship?

'He worships me'

Speaking about her new man for the first time, Alison revealed to The Sun: “He’s a lovely man and all I can say is that I’ve had him hidden for a year and a half.

"A year and a half I’ve been with him, and no one knew! He loves me to bits. He absolutely worships me and massages my feet every single day. What more do you want?!”

Relationship with son Aidan

Alison previously spoke about the first meeting between her son Aidan, 19, and David. She spoke about dating someone new on Rob Beckett and Josh Widdicombe's Parenting Hell podcast before she revealed who she was in a relationship with.

They asked: “Are you single Alison?” And she gushed coyly: “No… I’m not single.. I’m dating. I’m dating!”

Speaking about dating with a teenage son, she added: “It’s more difficult, he is more verbal now that he is older. He’ll want to know who this person is and he’ll want to meet them. It’s a lot harder. He’ll wanna know that this guy is treating me well."

She added: “The person who I am seeing at the moment, he is on his Instagram and is like ‘yeah I like him, he’s not too in your face’. Aiden is on it. When they actually met, he really liked him, he really thought he was lovely, so that’s nice.

“Thank goodness for that! Because normally Aiden hates anybody I date, literally just not interested. And you just know at that point, if Aiden doesn’t like them, this isn’t gonna work.

“There are moments where I think, ‘who’s the parent here?!' It’s nice though because I always feel like there’s someone there looking over me, protecting me.”

'I've got someone special'

Alison shared a rare candid glimpse at her relationship on This Morning on September 13. She was interviewing Paloma Faith when they talked about how dating apps hadn’t worked out for Paloma.

Alison asked the singer: “But you’ve got someone lovely in your life and you’re happy,” to which the singer replied, “I’m not commenting on that,” and burst out into laughter. Alison replied: “I just hope you have, I just want you to be happy,” and her costar Dermot O'Leary told Paloma that Alison “was just feeling the love,” at the moment.

Alison admitted: “I love love at the moment… I’ve got someone special and you’ve got someone special and you’ve got someone special,” nodding to Paloma and Dermot.

Squashing engagement rumours

Alison moved to squash rumours she was engaged after being spotted wearing a glamorous pink diamond ring on her ring finger during an episode of This Morning earlier this year. Alison noted headlines claiming she was engaged, telling viewers: "Oh my god apparently I am engaged?!"

She immediately clarifiied that was not the case, adding: "Oh I have put this on the wrong finger... Let me swap it over to stop these rumours. It is just a cheap ring from Primark. It's nice, isn't it?! Let's swap it over as we don't want those rumours."
