by Robson McCallister, https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/authors/robson-mccallister/ · Birmingham LiveA Solihull street food cafe known for its burgers has thanked customers with a heartfelt message after it announced its closure. Burger-Me-Up is leaving Mell Square at the end of this week to focus on its new restaurant in Stirchley, Birmingham.
It was one of several street food outlets at Taste Collective, launched to encourage people to enjoy food from rotating vendors.
Burger-Me-Up said it is ‘truly sorry’ to customers and noted ‘that all good things must come to an end’. Although the new location in Birmingham is not open to dine-in, customers can still order via collection or online delivery services.
After being a student hotspot in Selly Oak, Burger-Me-Up closed the Bristol Road shop in March to relocate to the trendy Pershore Road. Serving traditional and unique burger favourites, Burger-Me-Up was also located inside the Solihull food court, Taste Collective.

In an Instagram post, Burger-Me-Up said: “We’re saying goodbye to Solihull! This Sunday (November 10) will be our last day at Taste Collective Solihull.
“Over the past couple of years, we’ve had an absolute blast in Solihull. Taste Collective Solihull has been an incredible home, helping us learn, grow, and serve up amazing experiences.
“But, as they say, all good things must come to an end. This decision wasn’t easy - we’ve discussed it at length as a team.
“Ultimately, we’ve decided to focus all our energy on our Stirchley site to make Burger-Me-Up the best it can be for everyone. To our Solihull regulars, we know this may come as sad news, and we’re truly sorry.
“You’ve made BMU possible, and we’re grateful for every visit, order, and smile. Thank you for being part of our journey, and who knows - maybe we’ll be back with our very own Solihull spot in the not-too-distant future…
“We hope to see you soon at our Stirchley spot! Let’s make this last week in Solihull unforgettable.”
