Alison Hammond has opened up about her 19 year old son Aidan's knack for dishing out relationship advice. However, she confessed that she might be guilty of oversharing.

The 49 year old TV presenter rarely discusses her personal life, but she did make a comment about her romance with her younger boyfriend David Putman, which came to light earlier this year. Alison and Aidan featured in a social media video on Wednesday, teasing the upcoming gameshow Romesh Ranganathan's Parents' Evening, set to air on ITV1 this Saturday.

The programme promises to offer viewers a glimpse into the parent-child relationships of celebrities. Alison will be on the show with Aidan alongside Iain Stirling and his mum.

In the teaser, Alison and Aidan were asked a series of questions and had to decide who was better at each topic. One question was: 'Who's better at giving advice?'. Aidan claimed he was superior in this area, which initially surprised Alison before she conceded, saying: 'When it comes to relationship advice you're very good!

However, she added: 'But when it comes to career advice I'm not sure!' hen asked who was the biggest oversharer, both pointed to Alison, with the presenter admitting: 'Yeah maybe I overshare a little bit. I'll probably overshare in the show!'

Back in June, Alison, 49, and her younger boyfriend David, 26, made their first red carpet appearance together, accompanied by her son Aidan, at an event in London. News broke in May that the presenter was dating the Russian masseur, despite their significant age difference.

Alison shares Aidan with her ex-husband Noureddine Boufaied. Alison recently opened up about her relationship, revealing that it even has the approval of her son Aidan. While appearing on Rob Beckett and Josh Widdicombe's podcast Parenting Hell, the TV star discussed the challenges of dating now that her son is nearly an adult.

In a candid confession, Alison said: 'It's more difficult, he is more verbal now that he is older. He'll want to know who this person is and he'll want to meet them. It's a lot harder. He'll wanna know that this guy is treating me well.

'The person who I am seeing at the moment, he is on his Instagram and is like 'yeah I like him, he's not too in your face'. Aidan is on it'

She added: 'When they actually met, he really liked him, he really thought he was lovely, so that's nice. Thank goodness for that! Because normally Aidan hates anybody I date, literally just not interested.

'And you just know at that point, if Aidan doesn't like them, this isn't gonna work. There are moments where I think, 'who's the parent here?! 'It's nice though because I always feel like there's someone there looking over me, protecting me.'
