Fifth man arrested over stabbing outside Kidderminster pizza shop

Five men have now been arrested following a stabbing outside a pizza shop in Kidderminster. A 28-year-old man was taken to hospital after he was wounded in Dudley Street on Saturday night (October 19).

Police were called to Pizza Lounge at around 6.10pm to reports of an assault. The injured man was taken to Birmingham's Queen Elizabeth Hospital but has since been discharged.

Officers arrested four men, 18, 34, 35 and 37, on suspicion of wounding with intent, who have since been released on bail. In an update on Tuesday, October 22, West Mercia Police said another man, 29, had been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent.

Detective Constable Lucas said: “Incidents such as this can bring concern to the local community, and I would like to reassure the public that we are now confident we have arrested everybody that was involved. In order to complete the picture of that happened on Saturday evening, I am continuing to appeal for any witnesses to come forward with any information that may help with our investigation”.
