Women dragged off British Airways flight after row erupts over Donald Trump hat
by Annabal Bagdi, https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/authors/annabal-bagdi/ · Birmingham LiveTwo women were kicked off a British Airways flight after brawling over a Donald Trump MAGA hat. The row erupted as passengers waited to board a flight at London Heathrow on Monday, October 28.
They were preparing to fly to Austin, Texas, when one woman demanded the other remove her red baseball cap - which had Republican US Presidential nominee Trump's 'Make America Great Again' slogan on it. It sparked a fight, with punches thrown in front of shocked passengers in Terminal 5.
The clash continued on board in the premium economy area of the plane. The captain called for help, with police eventually escorting both women off the aircraft - but they continued to hurl offensive words at each other.

The ordeal meant the plane departed two hours later than it should have. It is understood the women were not arrested but were questioned by police, The Sun reports.
Flight BA191 was due to depart at 12.10pm but did not leave Heathrow until 2.11pm. A source said: "With the US Presidential election so close, tensions are sky high.
"Airline crew could not run the risk of a full scale punch-up at 30,000ft. BA officials cannot recall a flight being delayed before due to a passenger’s baseball cap.
"It was extraordinary." The Met Police said a probe has been launched into the incident.
A spokesman said: "Shortly after 12.45pm on Monday, October 28, police at Heathrow were made aware of an incident involving two women waiting to board a plane in Terminal 5. A woman in her 40s and a woman in her 60s made counter allegations of affray.
"Enquiries are ongoing." British Airways said: "We apologised to our customers for the delay and got them on the way as quickly as possible."
