Nissan overturns in Bordesley Green two-car crash as driver injured

A driver was injured in two-car crash which caused a vehicle to overturn in a city street. The smash, involving two Nissans, happened in Newbridge Road in Bordesley Green today, Wednesday, October 23.

One of the drivers, a woman, was treated by paramedics for non-serious injuries. She was discharged at the scene.

No other injuries were reported. A picture of the cars wrecked was shared on social media.

A blue Nissan was pictured on its side, surrounded by shattered glass, with its roof caved in. The cream-coloured Nissan's boot appeared completely destroyed. The road appeared blocked with a bus seemingly unable to pass the scene.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to reports of a two-car collision on Newbridge Road, Bordesley Green, at 8.30am. We sent an ambulance to the scene where, upon arrival, the crew found a woman, who was the driver of one of the cars.

"The crew treated her for minor injuries and discharged her with self-care advice. There were no other patients.”
