A man will spend the next 18 weeks behind bars after he was found with a kitchen knife in the front of his trousers. Police arrested Odin Young in Castle Street, Warwick, following a tip-off earlier this month.

Police said the 27-year-old was sent to prison two days after his arrest. PC Alice Thomas of Warwickshire Police said officers acted quickly before Young "could do anyone serious harm".

Young, of no fixed abode, was sentenced to 18 weeks in prison at Coventry Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, October 16. He was also ordered to pay a surcharge of £154 for possessing a knife in a public place.
