Strictly Come Dancing fans witnessed a steamy samba display from Pete Wicks and Jowita Przystal on Saturday night. But their connection was also said to be followed up backstage as the pair were spotted 'cosying up' over drinks following the BBC show.

The Mirror reports that the former TOWIE star was seen giving Jowita, 30, a peck as they cuddled into each other. It came after Pete, 36, dressed as George of the Jungle for Movie Week and stunned fans with his gyrating moves.

As he reflected on his performance on the night, which got them a score of 26, Pete admitted: "I absolutely hate the film, but I absolutely love the samba. George loves the samba."

The on-screen chemistry between Pete and Jowita has apparently come from their alleged fondness of each other behind the scenes. Their close bond has been labelled an 'open secret', as it was claimed Pete was falling 'head over heels' for the professional dancer.

Speaking to The Mail on Sunday, an insider said: "Pete has fallen head over heels for Jowita. He thinks she is amazing in every way. The feeling is mutual from her side and things have definitely progressed between them. They are all over one another behind the scenes, in a way that a loved-up couple would be."

The source continued: "It appears that we may have the first Strictly romance of the series, which is so exciting. They are the talk of the show. The other contestants are really happy for them. They are always smiling. It's lovely."
