Police update after man killed in 'hit-and-run' A435 Hollywood bypass tragedy

Police probing the death of a man in 'hit-and-run' have provided an update following the tragedy. West Mercia Police said officers received a report of a man lying in a layby on the A435 Hollywood Bypass over the weekend.

A 51-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene after initial calls were made, at around 11.55pm, on Sunday, November 3. A 53-year-old man was later arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop.

The force has now confirmed to BirminghamLive that a man has been bailed pending further inquiries. Police inquiries are ongoing.

Insp Stephanie Arrowsmith, from Bromsgrove Roads Policing, previously said: "We are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision as they may have information which could help with our investigation.
