Police launch investigation as pedestrian seriously injured after being hit by car

The crash took place at the junction of Old Park Road and Manor House Road at 6.20am today (September 30).
The pedestrian, a man, was taken to hospital on blue lights after receiving treatment from paramedics. The force said the driver remained at the scene to help officers with their inquiries.
Officers are appealing for photos and dashcam footage to help with the investigation. A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "We are investigating after a pedestrian was seriously injured in a collision in Wednesbury.

"We were called to the junction of Old Park Road and Manor House Road at 6.20am today after the collision, which involved a car and a pedestrian. The pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious injuries and the driver remained at the scene to help officers with their enquiries.
