Wednesday's episode of This Morning was charged with raw emotion as celebrity hairdresser Trevor Sorbie discussed his terminal cancer diagnosis on the programme. The revelation that he had only a few weeks to live prompted viewers to reach out, sharing their personal experiences with agony aunt Deidre Sanders.

A particularly poignant moment came when a caller sought guidance regarding his own health battle. He confided in presenters Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard: "I've been poorly for a couple of years and I was told on Monday that I've probably got four to six months."

The emotional disclosure continued as the caller admitted he hadn't yet broken the news to his loved ones, asking: "I just wanted to see if, Deidre, you've got any tips or hints on how to tell people."

Upon enquiry about his age, ITV audiences discovered the man was in his 40s, to which Deidre responded, "It's just doubly tragic when someone as young as you are." Deidre offered counsel, urging the man to open up to his nearest and dearest promptly, reports the Mirror. She empathised: "I know it's tough trying to find those words, it's partly your fear of what's coming, makes it very hard to find the words which is completely understandable."

She also assured him she would continue their conversation privately after the show. Meanwhile, other viewers called in seeking support, including a distraught daughter grappling with her father's terminal diagnosis, desperate to know how best to support both her parents.

She expressed her worries, saying: "I've not long ago had my baby girl, which is their only granddaughter, I'm just really concerned on how to make memories with them." Deidre reassured the woman that she would provide additional support off-air after hearing about her distress. The last caller found it difficult to discuss her ordeal, leading Ben to intervene and share her story.

He revealed: "Sharon recently found out that her friend of over 45 years has the same pancreatic cancer that killed her father."

Viewers of the programme were deeply affected by the poignant tales shared. One viewer remarked: "Good lord, this is a really hard watch today... " Another commented: "This phone-in is so sad." Another individual posted: "Just made a cuppa, sat down and the #ThisMorning phone in is just heartbreaking. Can't bear it, sending love to Nathan and Penny."

A viewer confessed: "I'm overwhelmed listening to this phone in," while someone else shared at 11:28 am: "11:28am and my tears start. Bless you, Nathan. Too young. It makes me realise I should appreciate life more and stop moaning about petty stuff! ".
