An 18-year-old has been charged with attempted murder after a woman was 'stabbed' at a Black Country railway station. Deng Cholmajek was due to appear in court following the incident at Bescot Stadium in Walsall.

Emergency services were alerted to a 'serious assault' at the station just after 11.25pm on Sunday, October 20. A woman was found with injuries consistent with being stabbed.

British Transport Police said the woman remained in hospital with life-threatening injuries on Tuesday morning (October 22). Her next of kin have been notified and were being supported by specially trained officers.
