Next shoppers are buying a 'smart' and 'cosy' sweatshirt in several colours ready for the autumn/winter months. The Essentials Longline Relaxed Fit Cotton Sweatshirt comes in six colours and costs £25.

The comfy sweater is designed in a longer length than the average sweatshirt so looks nice with leggings as well as jeans as it covers the bum. It's made from a super-soft cotton blend fabric with ribbed cuffs and a side split hem for a more polished look, making it a go-to for lazy days on the sofa, but stylish enough to wear out and about.

The Essentials Longline Relaxed Fit Cotton Sweatshirt has received positive reviews on the Next website, with shoppers praising the 'lovely length', 'beautiful' colours and 'easy to wear anywhere' style. Several people loved the top so much, they bought it in several colours.

Lin said: "Great quality, good sizing and length! Most sweatshirts I find far too short for me, this one is just right." One customer said: "Big, comfy and great for days you just can't be bothered."

One shopper said: "Nice fitting sweatshirt, true to size and nice soft feel. Good price too." Another fan wrote: "A lovely sweater, the colour is beautiful, just as it is in the picture. The sweater itself isn't too thick, which I love, because I hate getting too hot. Very good quality and washes/irons well."

Michelle said: "Really lovely sweatshirt, lovely material. Nice to wear comfortable and cosy in a a very light beige colour I wore l it with a pair of wide leg trousers in a creamy beige colour very similar to the sweatshirt and it looks and feels really nice. I actually wore it with a very smart 3/4 length coat and it all together looked very smart and classy. Then wore with a more everyday coat so it looked more casual and relaxed."

And another reviewer wrote: "Loved the style! So easy to wear anywhere because of the splits at the sides. Looks really stylish. Material good and very soft. Just a super addition to my wardrobe."

A few people complained that the sweatshirt fitted tight around the neck, as one shopper wrote: "Lovely black sweatshirt. Comfy, exactly what I wanted. Only tiny thing I would say is a little tight on the neck, but I love it."

Next fans can buy the Essentials Longline Relaxed Fit Cotton Sweatshirt in a choice of six colours for £25 on the Next website. Matching joggers are also available, priced at £24.

Alternatively, New Look's Jersey Crew Neck Sweatshirt is a more affordable option, priced at £18.99 and this Cotton Rich Crew Neck Sweatshirt from Marks and Spencer costs £19.50.
