Saturday Kitchen's Matt Tebbutt was taken aback after receiving a cheeky jibe about his appearance from guest chef Theo Randall.

In the latest episode, which aired on October 5, Matt welcomed to the kitchen chef Theo Randall, actress Michelle Keegan and vegetarian cookbook writer Mary McCartney, also the daughter of Beatles legend Paul McCartney. Regular wine expert Olly Smith was also on hand providing the drink matches.

The pair were set to cook mussels and tagliatelle as the first dish. Compliments flew in the kitchen when Matt commented on Theo's khaki green shirt. "Nice top," he said, pinching Theo's arm. "Nice texture."

Theo thanked the BBC host for the compliment but failed to reciprocate. Instead, he said: "Can't say the same to yours." Caught off-guard, Matt responded with a surprised "Really?", seemingly thrown by Theo's frank observation.

Theo wasn't done yet, teasing further by remarking on the snugness of Matt's shirt with a playful: "It's a bit tight, isn't it?". This drew chuckles around the studio while Matt looked on in fake astonishment insisting his shirt "it's not tight.", reports the Express.

As Theo returned his focus to cooking, Matt tried to shake off the comment, still grinning and shaking his head in disbelief as he chopped parsley for their recipe.

Later, still pondering the earlier banter, Matt caught Theo's eye and half-jokingly asked, "Is it tight? ". Always quick to support, Olly Smith chimed in with encouragement, saying, "I think it's flattering," and brightening up the moment.

"I'm going to change halfway through," Matt declared, while Theo, seemingly regretting making his colleague uncomfortable, quickly added, "I'm only pulling your leg."

Matt responded with a nonchalant "Whatever," as Theo couldn't help but laugh. The situation turned heartfelt as Theo earnestly pleaded, "Matt, please."

It seems Theo's appeal was effective, as they managed to get past the disputed moment and carried on cooking.

The segment featuring Theo on the show clearly struck a chord with viewers, with one fan heading over to X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, expressing their delight. "Love Theo, we went to his restaurant earlier this year and had a fantastic meal. He was in the kitchen and invited us in to meet him. He's just as lovely as he appears on screen," said one viewer.
