Lozells stabbing victim named after victim fatally knifed in Hunters Road

A man who was stabbed to death in Lozells has been named in a fresh police appeal. Ekrimh Mena’a died after being found with stab wounds in Hunters Road, near Villa Road junction, shortly before 12.25am on Monday, September 30.

The 39-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene. A blue police forensic tent was erected in the middle of the road following the tragedy.

A second man was rushed to hospital with serious injuries. Police said today that he was in a stable condition.

West Midlands Police appealed for new information over the fatal stabbing with the hunt still on to find the killer. Det Insp Dan Jarratt said: “Our thoughts are with the loved ones of Ekrimh at this awful time.

"Our officers are working tirelessly on this investigation as we continue to review CCTV footage and any forensic evidence from the scene. I encourage anyone who may have witnessed this incident or has any information, CCTV or dash cam footage, that may assist the investigation to contact us.

"We understand this incident has caused concern in the community so you will see increased patrols in the area. If you have any concerns, please speak to the officers.”
