Prince Harry has distanced himself from the royal family in recent years, with his relationship with his brother reportedly strained. However the siblings were once incredibly close, and Harry was thrilled when William and Kate started their family together.

Harry was bumped down the line of succession when the Prince and Princess of Wales welcomed their son Prince George in July 2013. The couple then had two other children, with Princess Charlotte born in May 2015, while Prince Louis arrived in April 2018.

When Harry was asked about the new additions to the family back in 2017, he said: "The reason I am now fifth is because of my nephew and niece and I could never wish them away."

Harry told the Daily Mail's Angela Levin: "They are the most amazing things ever." During the same interview, he also expressed his desire to have his own children, and he later welcomed son Archie in May 2019 with wife Meghan Markle. The couple also had a daughter, Lilibet, in June 2021.

The Duke of Sussex previously told the Mirror that he wanted George and Charlotte to follow in his and William's footsteps He said: "I would definitely encourage George, and Charlotte if she wants to, to have some sort of involvement in the Armed Forces, guaranteed. It's done no harm, just good, for me, and I know it's the same for William.

"As an uncle, you know, I would say enjoy the [royal] role, because at first it's just pressure, pressure, pressure. If you're going to be doing it and you're having an effect on so many people then, if you smile, they're smiling – and what's the point of doing such a unique job without enjoying it?"
