The 'fantastic' £35 Amazon mattress topper that 'stops back pain'

Amazon has a limited time deal on a mattress topper that customers say 'stops back pain' and was likened to 'sleeping on a cloud'. One fan said they'd slept 'so much better' since using it and now dozed off 'almost instantly'.

The price of the MightySoft Double Bed Mattress Topper, which previously retailed at £46.99, has been slashed by 26 per cent. Shoppers can now snap it up for £34.99. Discounts were also available on the single, king and super king toppers, with prices currently ranging from £29.99 to £44.99.

The product description said the MightySoft Mattress Topper made beds look "crisp, cosy and inviting", giving a "hotel-like feel". The topper, which needed to be left to expand and plump for up to 48-hours before use, was also machine washable.

Juliette's five-star review of the MightySoft Mattress Topper read: "I bought this for my daughter's bed but it was soon commandeered by my son, who has likened it to sleeping on a cloud. Fantastic extra wide straps which fit snugly under the mattress to stop it moving at night."

Christiane said the MightySoft Mattress Topper was not only "extending the life" of her mattress but it had also "stopped" her back pain. She wrote: "My mattress - which I got only a year ago at a good price, as it was slight seconds/scuff marks, started giving me back pain. A new mattress would cost me several hundred pounds, an expense I am trying to avoid until I can get a really good deal. So the only option was a mattress topper - the thickest one. I have migrated back from the bed in the spare bedroom to my main one with the mattress topper on top. So far it's great - been sleeping on it for three nights now. Long may it last!"

Ruth gave the MightySoft Mattress Topper four-stars and said: "Not as thick as advertised, even after 48 hours left to expand, but my daughter said it’s comfy." Michael said it was "soft" and "just what we wanted", adding: "It has straps at each corner to keep it done. Our last one didn't and it kept moving, this one stays still."

Another five-star review read: "I sleep so much better after putting this mattress topper on my bed, I just melt into the padding and fall asleep almost instantly." John's review of the MightySoft Mattress Topper revealed her was "disappointed". He wrote: "It's a nice mattress topper. Feels nice to lay on but there is no way it's 4 inch thick. Lay down on it and it seems to squash to nothing. One good thing is the topper has the corner straps to hold it to the mattress, but even then it moves and wrinkles up. Not what I expected."
