Second teenager charged with fatal stabbing of 15-year-old boy in Marston Green

Police have charged a second teenager after a boy was stabbed to death in Solihull. Police said the 17-year-old boy, named locally as 'Reuben', was fatally knifed on Station Road, Marston Green, at around 6.20pm on Tuesday, October 29.

Paramedics said nothing could be done to save him and he died from his injuries. Police today said officers had charged a second 15-year-old boy on suspicion of his murder.

He was also charged with possession of a bladed article. He appeared before Birmingham Magistrates' Court this morning, November 7, and was remanded into custody.

Another 15-year-old boy was charged on suspicion of murder last week. He appeared at Birmingham Magistrates' Court on Monday.

West Midlands Police said an 18-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of murder. He remained in custody while police enquiries continued.

A West Midlands force spokesperson said: "This brings the total amount arrested on suspicion of murder to three with two charged." Det Insp Michelle Cordell, from the Homicide Team, said: “Our thoughts remain with the family and loved ones of the 17-year-old boy who sadly died.

"We are keeping the family informed of the latest developments. I want to thank members of the public that have already come forward to share what they know. I’m still appealing for anyone with information to please get in touch.”
