A Strictly Come Dancing judge has said "something’s going on" after hinting at a romance between two stars. Pete Wicks, the former ITV The Only Way Is Essex star, is paired up with Jowita Prysztal amid claims the pair could be closer than pals. 9

They fanned the flames of romance rumours with a steamy dance on Saturday. Pete has insisted he's single despite dates with Maura Higgins, who he has been spotted on dates with after she shot to fame on ITV reality TV series Love Island.

Vincent Simone - who took part in seven series of the show with stars including Rachel Stevens - says he has spotted sparks flying between Pete and Jowita. He said: "I think the two of them are just gorgeous and I felt, after watching them, ‘Hello!

"There’s something going on here’. I would love a bit of romance on the show!" He said: "Pasha Kovalev got married to Rachel Riley. Gorka Marquez got married (to Gemma Atkinson). Flavia Cacace got married (to Jimi Mistry).

"They’re both absolutely gorgeous. If they’re both single and spending so much time together, then why not go for it? We’ve seen people from the show get married in the past. Maybe Pete and Jowita could follow in their footsteps?

"If you can fall in love while learning how to dance like a professional, there’s nothing better than that. I would love to see a good romance on the show this year." Pete's best mate Sam Thompson has even claimed the pair are "in love".

In an appearance on This Morning last week the Made In Chelsea star declared: "I think they are in love," but he quickly added that he actually thinks their relationship is platonic. But digging a deeper hole, Sam said: "He cares about her so much, the way he looks at her, I've never seen it before.

"I just want to see him happy, he is one of the best people I know."
